The AI line editor is now live in TreCorsa! Every track export now includes a basic AI line generated from the centerline of road 1, but if you want to create a proper racing line  you can now optimize and tweak it yourself.

Getting started

You'll find the AI Racing Line tool in the toolbar, just click the racing car icon to open the panel. The basic workflow is straightforward:

  • Select which road you want to create the AI line from
  • Click "Copy Centerline" to generate the initial racing line
  • Hit "Auto-Optimize" to automatically move the line toward corner apexes for a faster path
  • Fine-tune by dragging the green markers to adjust the racing line

Manual tweaking

The racing line shows up as green markers connected by a green line. You can drag these markers to adjust the path, and use Ctrl + Drag to move both the racing line and track boundaries together. The orange and blue markers represent the left and right track edges.

The drag influence slider is particularly useful - it controls how many neighboring points move along with your adjustments, which helps create smooth, flowing curves instead of sharp kinks that can confuse the AI.

Tips for better AI

Start with Auto-Optimize to get a decent racing line, then manually fine-tune the tricky sections. Keep your node spacing around 1.5-2 meters - too many nodes can make AI behavior jittery.
