Trollstigen is a spectacular national tourist road in Møre og Romsdal (county road 63) that connects Åndalsnes in Rauma with Valldal in Sunnmøre. The road is famous for its 11 hairpin bends up a steep mountainside, opened in 1936, and is one of Norways most visited attractions with a modern viewpoint at the top.
Trollstigen has an average gradient of about 8-10 and rises 839 meters in altitude over a distance of 10.9 kilometers. The road takes you from Isterdalen up to Stigrøra, 858 meters above sea level.
